Africa is a continent of paradoxes vast natural and human resources, yet persistent poverty. Over 63% of Nigerians (133 million people) live in multidimensional poverty, while insecurity, weak institutions, and policy inconsistencies continue to limit progress. Nigeria, as Africa’s largest economy and most populous nation, holds the key to transforming this narrative.
The 2025 Paul Alaje Colloquium, themed “Breaking the Cycle: How Nigeria Can Lead Africa from Poverty to Prosperity”, seeks to provide a platform for high-level dialogue on how Nigeria can unlock its potential and inspire Africa’s prosperity.
